MEMBERSHIP:
Support innovative programs for children, tweens, young adults, and adults that the community of Middleton needs and deserves.
Enable the library to provide events and services that celebrate all types of literacy and that embrace Middleton’s history and sense of community.
Create fundraisers that allow the library to thrive beyond the yearly budget and to pursue bigger initiatives and ideas.
Provide support to the library’s hard-working staff through various recognition and volunteer opportunities.
Provide pro-library advocacy to city and government officials, the general public, and potential library users.
Meet and connect with other people who value the library as an important community center and resource.
VOLUNTEERING:
Friends of the Library Board – Vote to make decisions about the Friends and funding per the board by-laws.
Membership Committee- Maintains a list of due-paying members and contacting members for renewals.
Publicity Committee- Creates an online and paper newsletter. Will also arrange for the printing, e-mailing, and bulk mail preparation of the newsletter or other library information.
Special Events Committee - Works with the library board and staff to create and host special sponsored events, including fundraisers.
